For those who got my postings about the book event in California that I was interested in, I've decided not to go, and have removed those articles.
For those who don't already know from phone calls and FB postings, we're looking to purchase a new home and want to put all our efforts into that. Here's one photo that I enjoy showing everybody. Isn't it beautiful? I'll post more photos as we get everything approved and finalized within the next few weeks.
Needless to say, hubby and I are quite happy that our life's path is taking us here! We've been pre-approved for this home in Broomfield, CO, and have settled on a purchase price with the owner.
This house is about 3 miles from where we currently live, so we can still enjoy the same local businesses including our favorite eating place, Cracker Barrel. (lol)
It has all the things we wanted in a new home including the jetted tub I said would be in the next home we lived in! It has a full basement, nice kitchen, pantry, and a big study/guest room.
Oh, the owner is leaving a pool table in the basement for my sister and her husband...
More later because I'm very tired tonight. It's been an extremely busy week, and I've not recovered from my 32-hour weekend as a busy RN.
I still get a little quiver of excitement when I sign my name Linda Meikle, RN about a hundred times every shift I work.

Little Boots and Ceasar Share a Chair
I caught the cats sharing a chair - something they actually rarely do - and this didn't last too long as you can tell by the last picture. We couldn't decide if we liked the enhanced pictures or those a little darker. You decide. Enjoy Little Boots and Ceasar at rest.

Link to My Geocaching Map
I've been posting our geocaching stories on the geo blog http://geocachingindenver.blogspot.com
I'm case anyone thinks we might soon run out of caches to find, here's a LINK to see the map of geocaches within 2 miles of where we live. The Smiley faces are the geocaches that I have found.
This is just a few block area of where we live. I don't think we'll ever run out. lol

Colorado Sunsets
These won't enlarge very well, because they were taken with my iPhone.
This is what we call the "Front Range". The mountains BEFORE the mountains.
But, you get the picture...
Enjoy the thoughts.

Sweet Lemon, No Tea
When ordering at our favorite Cracker Barrel the other day, I blurted out, "Sweet Lemon, No Tea" and didn't even realize my mistake until the server looked at me real funny, and hubby corrected the order to the usual, "Sweet Tea, No Lemon".
This whole week seems like a "Sweet Lemon, No Tea" time in my life. My main 'props" ran into trouble in that my computer completely crashed, and the repair totally wiped out all my photos, writing articles, documents, links, and who knows what I had on there that ain't there anymore!
We're slowly reinstalling programs that I've completely taken for granted all these years. Photoshop, iTunes, and other personal programs I've come to rely on for my personal writings and many blogs that I have created and keep updated.
I know I'll never recreate all the links I had in favorites for everything from my coupon blog, students loan links, and other favorite links I'll never get back.
But, inthemeantime, I need to dry my tears and move on. This time, there's a little red 8 GB flash drive sticking out the side of my laptop reminding me to backup, backup, backup!!!
How we take that sweet tea for granted. lol
We're watching the awful news from Japan and taking a few precautions ourselves. We really don't expect problems to cross the ocean and affect us, but we did go out for some extra water and that famous duct tape.
I hope your day is going better, but if not, just order "sweet lemon, no tea", and bring a smile.

Recent Photos of Life in Denver
If you haven't seen it yet, we've been busy today hiding our first geocache. You can view the blog and photos here
In the meantime, some of you still look to Linda's Notebook for news of life in Colorado. I'm posting a few photos from recent days.

A mountain sunset taken from the 26th floor at Black Hawk, Colorado.
We went to dinner with my friend from Columbus at this fabulous Italian restaurant. Maybe you can click on the photo for a better view.
Sorry, it was taken in low light with my iPhone.
Look up as you leave...
A reminder of...
A frosty morning brightens the trees
A peaceful nap in my bed close to Linda.
A Peaceful Day to each of you,

A Rooster In My Pocket
Virus eliminated!
Hats off - Big Hugs - To Hubby!
About that rooster...There's an app. for that!
I downloaded an alarm to my iPhone for reminders. No, not the one that gets me up for work at 4:30 a.m. on the weekends, but for when I'm a busy nurse with constant scheduled meds, IV's to hang, IV's to flush when the meds are done, promises of meds when "it's time", and treatments requested at certain times.
That's where my unusual rooster alarm comes to play. I can set several different alarm times along with whatever title I give it. There's also a nice selection of alarm melodies. You just have to smile when my pocket comes alive with a realistic rooster crow "cock-a-doddle-dooooo"!!!!
"The IV in room 99 is done."
"Pain pill is room 78 is due"
"Start the pump in room 66"
"Give pain pill to room 55"
Cock-a-doodle-doooo
